Description of problem:
The paint is propelled by the spray gun in the form of filaments.
Spider’s web occurs when the filaments are not dissolved in the paint film.
Causes:
Use of a cold paint which has thickened.
Incorrect pressure.
Very high viscosity.
Use of the incorrect thinner
Preventive measures:
Spray at the correct temperature and viscosity.
Use appropriate thinner.
Remedy:
Reduce the air pressure and/or the viscosity until the problem disappears.
Note:
Some products such as Body Schutz, polyester spray filler or textured paint need a special spray gun, which has 3.0 mm nozzle for proper application.
