Description of problem:
Sometimes, the painter has the unpleasant surprise to find out that the sprayed panel does not match the adjacent panel when the masking paper is removed.
Causes:
Incorrect spraying technique. Paint is applied too wet or too dry.
Incorrect spray gun set-up.
Incorrect spraying pressure.
Poor opacity.
Original panel color has been altered because of weathering.
Color is off shade initially.
Preventive measures:
Spray test card before application.
Blend in color.
Remedy:
Polish adjoining panel to check color.
Tint the color, sand, repaint.
Blend in Color.
